Always a champion of humanitarian causes, Dirico was a key cog in the 2009 Legends Ride and benefit auction. Thanks to the participation and support of more than 200 bikers including a Dirico entourage inclusive of Steven Tyler, Mark Dirico and Stephen Talarico, the annual Sturgis event raised more than $61,000 predominantly for the Black Hills Children’s Home Society.

Gathering at the historic Silverado-Franklin Hotel in Deadwood on Monday, August 3rd, this collection of celebrities, bike builders and V-twin enthusiasts were all united in their passion for the cause as well as the bike ride – a 50 mile jaunt through the mesmerizing Black Hills en route to the Buffalo Chip where the benefit auction took place.

While the star-studded event included people from many walks – the likes of Peter Fonda, John Paul DeJoria, Phil Pitzer and, our very own, Steven Tyler – they all shared a common love, helping people and riding V-twins: a winning combination.
